As the season rolls on so does the Knicks constant drama. Word out of Knicks camp and reported by Marc Berman, Knicks point guard Pablo Prigioni is weighing his options for next season. There is a strong possibility he will reevaluate his situation after the season and return to the Spanish League to finish out his legendary career.
“I will play for some team next year — where, I don’t know,’’ Prigioni told The Post. “It could be in the NBA. It could be the Spanish League.’
“They said, ‘Do you want two years or just one year?’ ’’ said Prigioni, who brought his family from Spain to New York. “And I wanted just one year.
Pablo Prigioni has been a solid addition to this team. He is considered a third string point guard on this Knicks team, but plays more like a 2nd stringer. His terrific pick and roll capabilities is something that the Knicks needed and would miss if he left the team next year. His outside shot was a surprise to me, especially his three point abilities. With the advanced age of Jason Kidd, Pablo has been used more than expected, however I expect the Knicks to try to get younger next year at the point guard position with players like Sebastian Telfair, Rodrigue Beaubois and other notable free agents. The age of the Knicks team is a concern and anytime you can get younger and more skilled then you must go for it.
